Risk and Hazard Assessment Review

This presentation reviews tree defects most likely to lead to damage and hazards following natural disasters. Presented at the UFST training in Providence Forge, VA in July 2008.

This Powerpoint was developed from the complete presentation "Detecting and Assessing Hazardous Defects in Trees" by Cynthia L. Ash, Plant Pathologist (USDA FS) in Durham, NH.

The presentation concentrates on those defects that didn't fail, but could lead to increased risk (and hazard). During rapid risk assessment (UFST methodology), these should be areas of concern and more intensive evaluation.
