UFST GPS Equipment
Task Specialists use GPS equipment to record tree locations.
GPS units and handheld data recorders are used to collect data on trees
assessed. UFST crews have been trained on and use a variety ofÂ
equipment. In this photo Eric Muecke (NC) uses a Garmin GPS unit
(backpack) and Recon data recorder running SOLOfield software provided by Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry.
