FEMA Region III

FEMA's Region III works in partnership with the emergency management agencies of the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

From its offices in Philadelphia, FEMA's Region III works in partnership with the emergency management agencies to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. Region III's most common challenges are hurricanes and other storms that can cause flooding throughout the region and flash flooding in mountainous areas. The Region is also subject to tornadoes.
