Street Segment Reports

Example street segment (i.e. blocks) reports from UFST work in Baton Rouge.

Tree assessments by Urban Forest Strike Team arborists were completed in September and October 2008 following Hurricane Gustav. Trees that met FEMA reimnbursement standards were physical marked with a paint "dot". Reports were generated from ArcMap in street and block order to facilitate contractor work.

This document is a composite report (example) with 3 pages of trees identified for removal (red paint), and 3 pages of trees identified for pruning (green paint). Tree assessments used FEMA 325 standards for removal and hanger pruning.

An additional 3 pages lists trees assessed with a hazard (or condition) that did not meet FEMA reimbursement standards. This list includes a map identification number for use in the field since non-FEMA trees were not painted.

The accuracy of properly identifying the street block is dependent on the GPS accuracy during data collection and the accuracy of the GIS street layer.
