Description of the Modified Williamsburg Data Dictionary (Draft v1.3)

This factsheet describes the attributes of the features in the modified data dictionaries following the 2008 UFST training in Williamsburg (Providence Forge, VA) and includes changes for consistency with NFES 2809 GIS standards.

These dictionaries (Mod #1 and Mod #2) have two point features; one for street trees (i.e. it prompts for an address), and another for park or campus trees that are not associated directly with a street address.

In Mod #1 the arborist directly selects the FEMA debris classification (e.g. prune or remove). In Mod #2, the arborist is prompted for attributes that describe the damage to the tree in terms that can later be evaluated to determine debris classification (i.e. an indirect approach to assigning debris status).

In both, the "risk treatment" based on common arboricultural risk assessment attributes can be disassociated from the "disaster treatment" for FEMA debris classification.
