Arkansas Ice Storm Area

A PDF map of the area of northern Arkansas affected by the January 26th, 2009 ice storm.

The Affected Area boundary was determined on February 5, 2009 (revised map from Feb 4th) from aerial observations in a fixed wing aircraft.

Geolocational Positioning System (GPS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) equipment were used onboard the airplane to record the boundary. The boundaries were augmented/adjusted from ground damage reports and US Forest Service aerial observations in a rotary wing aircraft.
